Altar Server You will assist the priest during Mass. Initial training and ongoing formation will be provided.

Rosary You will lead the rosary 30 minutes before Mass.


Decor and Environment This ministry assists in the planning, design and decorating of the worship environment for the liturgical seasons.


Extraordinary Minister of Communion This ministry assists in the distribution of the Eucharistic Bread and Wine at Mass. Persons involved must be approved by the Diocesan Bishop.


Lector You will prepare and proclaim the readings. Formation sessions will be provided.


Commentator You will read the announcements and introduction to the Mass as well as lead the assembly in the General Intercessions.


Communion for Shut Ins You will bring communion to members of our parish family who are sick or homebound. A parish bulletin will be left with the parishioners to ensure that an ongoing connection is maintained with our parish community. **You must complete the Diocesan Protocol procedures to be involved with this ministry.


Hospitality/Ushers As part of a team, you will welcome everyone with a warm smile and greeting, distribute the bulletins, assist people in finding seating in the church, take up the collection and respond to individual needs.


Sacristan This ministry assists in the preparation and maintenance of the vessels and vestments used in liturgy. You will prepare for Mass with altar cloths, vessels, candles, bread and wine as well any other items needed for baptisms, funeral Masses and other special liturgies.


Music Ministry The members of this ministry enhance and empower the gathered assembly’s participation in the music at each liturgy.

Children’s Liturgy Adult and youth (grade 5+) leaders assist the young children in learning about the readings. The children are dismissed by the priest so that they can share the Word of God in a meaningful way and rejoin the assembly for the Eucharistic prayer. **Adults must complete the Diocesan Protocol procedures to be onvolved with this ministry


Gift Bearers The bread and wine are brought forward by a family or group.


Power Point Volunteers are needed to run the computer for Saturday and Sunday Masses.


Power Point Construction Volunteers are needed to prepare slides for Masses and other liturgies.


Collection Counter After Mass the collection is counted and recorded.


Liturgy Planning Committee This committee plans and organizes liturgies. Preparations are made for the Advent, Christmas, Lenten and Easter celebrations as well as other feast days. This committee involves all of the liturgical ministries so that the themes can be coordinated.


Lay Presider As part of a team, you will prepare and lead Liturgy of the Word with Communion when the priest is not available for Mass.


Funeral Prayer Vigil Presider Your role will be to contact the bereaved family to prepare a meaningful vigil service. You will prepare a short homiletic reflection and lead the service using the prescribed liturgies.


Funeral Planning Committee You would meet with families to prepare the funeral liturgy if the parish priest is unavailable. Full trianing is provided for this important ministry.
