Ministries & Groups

There is a variety of gifts but always the same Spirit; there are all sorts of services to be done, but always the same Lord; working in all sorts of different ways in different people, it is the same God who is worshiped.

Catholic Women’s League: This is a national organization of women that seek to put into action the teachings of the Church. At St. Vital parish the CWL is also very involved in parish events. Contact Shannon Bailey.

CWL Mission: The Catholic Women's League of Canada calls its members to grow in faith, and to witness to the love of God through ministry and service.

The St. Vital CWL meets; regularly Sept - June on the second Thursday of each month at the St. Vital Parish Hall. Mass at 6:30 pm and meeting at 7:00 pm.

 Knights of Columbus: This is a men’s organization committed to promoting fraternity, charity, unity and patriotism. The Father Bigonesse Council #5626 is active in our parish.Contact Grand Knight, Todd Bailey or Deputy Grand Knight, Dennis Mercer.

Prayer Shawl Ministry : This group knits prayer shawls for the sick and suffering. We also present “Celebration of Life” prayer shawls to our senior parishioners. We meet regularly to mentor each other’s knitting skills, to share information about the recipients, and to pray. Contact Jean Kozlowski.
